Author Guidelines

Authors may submit manuscripts and all related files directly to: submission@surgerycasereportstint.com

Please include the article title and corresponding author information in all submission communications.

General Submission Instructions

Language and Formatting

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and professional English.
  • Submissions should be provided in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or PDF format.
  • Double-line spacing must be maintained throughout the manuscript.
  • Adequate margins should be provided on all sides of the document.
  • All pages must be numbered consecutively, including the title page, figures, tables, acknowledgements, and references.
  • Figures and tables should be embedded within the manuscript file at appropriate locations.

Types of Articles Accepted

The journal welcomes submissions in the following categories:

  • Case Reports
  • Original Research Articles

  • Letters to the Editor

Required Manuscript Structure

1. Cover Letter

A cover letter must accompany every submission. The cover letter should:

  • Briefly explain the significance of the study.
  • Confirm that the manuscript is original.
  • Confirm that the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.

2. Title Page

The title page should include:

  • Full manuscript title
  • Full names of all authors
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Complete correspondence address of the corresponding author
  • Email address and contact information

3. Abstract

  • Abstract word limit: 100–300 words
  • The abstract should summarize the objective, methodology, major findings, and conclusion.
  • Figures, tables, abbreviations, and references should not be included in the abstract.

Main Manuscript Sections

Depending on the article type, manuscripts should generally contain the following sections:

  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • Funding Information
  • References

Figures, Tables, and Graphs

Figures

  • Figures should be submitted in high-quality JPEG, JPG, or PNG formats.
  • Images must be clear and publication-ready.
  • Figure legends should be included below each figure.

Tables

  • Tables should be editable text and not submitted as images.
  • Tables must be numbered sequentially and properly titled.

Graphs

  • Graphs and charts should be high resolution and clearly labeled.

Reference Style

  • Authors must provide a complete and properly formatted reference list.
  • All references cited in the text must appear in the reference section.
  • References should follow the journal’s required citation style.

Peer Review Process

The journal follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific quality and impartiality.

  • Author and reviewer identities remain confidential during the review process.
  • Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scientific quality, clarity, ethical standards, and relevance.
  • Editorial decisions are communicated after completion of peer review.

Plagiarism and Ethical Considerations

  • Submitted manuscripts must be original and free from plagiarism.
  • Proper citation and acknowledgement of previously published work are mandatory.
  • All manuscripts may undergo plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism-detection software.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest, funding sources, and contributions.
  • Ethical approval and patient consent should be provided where applicable.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

As an open-access journal, publication costs are supported through Article Processing Charges (APCs).

No additional submission, handling, or page charges are applied.


Copyright Policy

  • Authors retain copyright ownership of their published work.
  • Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted materials do not infringe upon third-party copyrights.
  • Permission must be obtained for any previously copyrighted material.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Authors may be required to submit:

  • Conflict of Interest statements
  • Author Contribution forms
  • Acknowledgement statements
  • Copyright permission documents where necessary

Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Manuscript Withdrawal

Requests for withdrawal after editorial processing has begun may incur administrative charges.

Refund Policy

Once an article has been accepted for publication, APCs are non-refundable, as editorial and production processes would already have been initiated.


Reprints

Electronic reprints and publication files are generally provided within 10–20 days following publication.


Publication Ethics

The journal adheres to the principles and best practice guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Editors and reviewers are expected to:

  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Ensure impartial and objective review
  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Protect unpublished data and intellectual content

All submitted materials are treated as confidential documents throughout the editorial and peer-review process.
